adeglåsia RELIGION AND BELIEF — A religious rite. Adeglåsia is the act of pressing an oath or promise into another through the → ehwain of each. The word is a → lynthian term which can be translated as “oath speak.” The practice is found in most religious and spiritual beliefs. The rite is often performed by those sick or dying to pass on a spiritual heritage or mantle to another. It is sometimes employed as a blessing with newborns, though this practice is generally performed only by a → khamun. In any event, the speaker (or bearer) of the oath is known as the → adeglåst, while the receiver is referred to as the → adegleen
