bilbee root/bilbee tree
bilbee root/bilbee tree FLORA — A kind of tree. The bilbee tree is a smallish tree that grows in dryer climates and is believed to have healing power. For medicinal purposes, its leaves can be brewed into a tea to reduce pain and swelling, and its bark can be chewed to get rid of certain rashes, alleviate headaches and stomach upsets, and calm a fever. However, the bilbee tree’s most prized property is its root: the bilbee root is covered with tiny root hairs that are harvested and dried. When smoked, chewed or eaten, they create a temporary state of euphoria. In controlled doses, these roots have many helpful uses; however, abuse of the roots of the bilbee tree can cause a dependency that often leads to senility, recklessness, and even death.
