braid of the Eries RELIGION AND BELIEF — A spiritual object. The braid of the Eries is a sacred loop of rope used as a token or talisman during spiritual rites by the → Sisters of Eri. These braids are formed using braided hair from members of the → Eri, in particular those who are or were revered and believed powerful. Legend holds the original braid of the Eries was fashioned from the hair of the order’s Matriarchs, → Eri-Sofia, → Eri-Timley and → Eri-Staint. Eri braids are believed to hold a collective magic of the Eri order, serving as a conduit or joiner to the fabric made up of the ehwain of all the Eries, past and present.
