dragonfern FLORA — A plant. Dragonfern is a flowerless plant with leafy fronds that grows year-round in warmer climates. It reproduces using spores (most often red or purple) released from the underside of the fronds. When burned, the dragonfern produces a heady, sweet aroma and is often used in cleansing rituals or on sacred days to purify homes and temples. It is also used in some locations during the → Hidain festival of low winter, or → Feilebroc, when → winter’s bane is unavailable in warmer climates.
