Kathian Mountains, the GEOGRAPHY — A mountain range. The Kathian Mountains are the mountain range that separates → Carde and → Goth and include the → Western Mountain range (or the → Northern Mountains, a term used by → Meridians, for the southernmost peaks of the range), the → Dragon’s Belly and the → Mountain of the Dragon. The Mountain of the Dragon is the home of the → Skree. By extension, the Kathians are often equated with the exiled fallen body of the → Dragon Gothro, with the Dragon’s Belly, a wide valley splitting the range in half from the → Barren to the → Gray Lake, and the Mountain of the Dragon serving as its “head”. The Kathians are often referred to as the wilderness of the high county.
