khamun RELIGION AND BELIEF — Religious figures. Khamun are any holy → folken, mostly ascetic in nature (renouncing material comforts and leading a life of stern self-discipline out of religious devotion). Khamun may be men or women and the term is not specific to any one belief system, though it suggests believers who strive to be at one with nature (the → Mother), such as the → Eri or the → Edöne. Through the years, most belief systems have adopted the term.
