sally weed

sally weed FLORA — An aromatic plant. Native to wetter climates, particularly those near large bodies of water with temperate to warm weather, sally weed is an aromatic plant with a minty flavor that is used in teas and baking. The plant is often dried and hung in bundles to freshen the air, particularly in cupboards, pantries, attics and root cellars. It is an insect repellant and is sometimes ground into a pulp and added to creams. Sally weed has many uses, particularly among rural folken. Considered a staple in household remedies, from health and wellness to cleaning body and home, sally weed is found in most homes in regions where it grows, and most apothecaries elsewhere.
