seeing bowl RELIGION AND BELIEF — A religious object. A seeing bowl is used as a → joiner between people, objects, places or even realms. It allows the holder to see across space (and sometimes time), into the → elhwith, into the → ehwain of another person, and even multiple outcomes to situations by use of roleplay and/or magic. Seeing bowls may be formed from nearly any material but must be imbued with power and are most often plated with precious metal, especially silver. The most potent seeing bowls are made from materials that were sacred to begin with, such as wood from an eldertree (→ elderwood) or altar stones (such as those used for → cyth).
