uhtomo CULTURE — A preparation period. The uhtomo is the period of preparation of the → Skree in advance of a campaign. The uhtomo follows an → avareete (period of rest) and includes the sacred lighting of the → Catacomb Vaults, ritualistic sacrifices, renewed warrior grooming (tattooing, piercing, scarring, body shaving, etc.) and a series of council meetings wherein seers are consulted and mystics bless the coming campaign.
