zyphlen
zyphlen FAYE — A → faye phenomenon. Zyphlen are fairy bells, referring to a sound which accompanies the magical workings of the faye or any of a plethora of magical natural creatures (i.e., those that are a natural part of the world and do not practice magic so much as be magic). Largely only held as a superstitious belief, the concept of zyphlen finds its origins in nearly all the ancient dumaen (of the → dumas) → scrips of the → Eri, → Edöne, → dahnee, → Quid, → dain, and → Monkshood. In this regard, the overwhelming presence of zyphlen throughout the many ancient and sacred texts suggests the reality of the phenomenon, at least in the past.
